The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has criticised the President Bola Tinubu government’s handling of insecurity and alleged theft of public funds, saying everything under Tinubu is collapsing.
The former Anambra State governor spoke at a town hall meeting in Imo State, where he accused the Tinubu’s administration of failing to protect lives and property.
According to the economic expert, Nigerians now live in fear in their own country, pledging to address insecurity and curb the misuse of public funds if elected.

“Everything under President Tinubu is collapsing. We have become more terrorised, and Nigeria is now number four. Tinubu no longer has the energy to govern.
“The greatest problem of this country is people stealing public money, and that cannot happen under my watch.
“If given the opportunity, Kwankwaso and I will unite this country and declare a state of emergency on insecurity,” he added.
Obi said Nigeria could not continue on its current path and needed a leader who would secure the country and ensure public funds benefit the people rather than a few individuals.
