2027: Nigerians’ll Be Convinced To Re-Elect Tinubu, Yari Assures

…Says APC-PCC will showcase administration’s achievements to win voters’ support

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed confidence that Nigerians will be convinced to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 2027 presidential election.

Yari reaffirmed the commitment of the APC-PCC to securing the support of the electorate for Tinubu’s second-term ambition, saying the campaign organisation would intensify efforts to communicate the administration’s achievements and convince Nigerians to renew the President’s mandate.

The former Zamfara State governor spoke with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined President Tinubu and other prominent Nigerians to perform the lesser Hajj (Umrah).

His remarks came against the backdrop of President Tinubu’s declaration during a media chat in Saudi Arabia on Friday that he had enormous faith in God regarding his re-election bid.

The President had said: “I believe that Allah’s wish in His court must prevail. And there’s no other God but Allah.

“Allah is the only one who can define a human being, what he will be, and what he will become.”

Reacting to the President’s comments, Yari said Tinubu’s faith in God, his administration’s performance and the capacity of the campaign structures to win the confidence of voters would be critical to securing victory.

According to him, the President’s decision to place his political future in God’s hands, while praying for Nigeria and its citizens, demonstrates the qualities of a leader.

He said: “That’s what makes a leader, because when you ask him, he first prayed for the country, prayed for every Nigerian and also he says this election is an election that God has selected the person who will be a leader and only Him that can put a leader or otherwise.

“So in total, I depend on Allah to do it for him as He did it for him in 2023.

“By that, Allah says we should welcome and work, that all the procedure we are doing to campaign, to talk to people, to convince them, to show them what we have done, what we have achieved, and by God’s grace, people will be convinced to elect us.”

Yari maintained that while the emergence of political leaders ultimately rested with God, the APC-PCC would not leave anything to chance in its efforts to secure public support for Tinubu’s re-election.

He stressed that the campaign organisation would continue to engage Nigerians, highlight the administration’s achievements and mobilise support across the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
