The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Peter Obi, has said there is no division among opposition presidential candidates.
Obi, who was at the commissioning of the campaign office of Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde said the opposition wants to change politics in Nigeria by uniting to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, declaring that there is no
quarrel or politics of disagreement among them.
“What we are doing today is to show you that, for us, we don’t have desperation. We want the people of Nigeria to make their choice. Whoever they choose, all of us will come together to build a new Nigeria,” Obi stated.
The NDC candidate said the message that “our people are hungry, our people are poor, our people are insecure,” will continue to resonate among opposition parties.
He called for a free and fair election in 2027, adding, “Whoever wins, genuinely, from a free, fair and credible election, we all want to work together to save this country from collapse.”
“Let our quarrel be to feed our people. Let our quarrel be to pull our people out of poverty. We want a Nigeria where a child of nobody can be somebody without knowing anybody,” the NDC candidate stated.
