The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima, has continued his campaign strategy by holding consultations with stakeholders to seek their input on his development plans ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Galadima, while meeting with Federal Government appointees from Adamawa State in Abuja, said the meeting provided an opportunity to present his “Adamawa Rising Agenda”.
He said his development blueprint is designed to build on the existing achievements, address areas that need improvement, and introduce new policies and programmes to accelerate sustainable development.
According to him, the discussions were particularly valuable as the federal appointees subjected the blueprint to scrutiny and offered constructive contributions.
Galadima said he was encouraged by their assessment that the agenda was comprehensive and could provide clear direction for the state’s development.
He stressed that the consultation was not merely about presenting a policy document but also about listening, learning and building partnerships with people whose experience and expertise could contribute to the development of Adamawa.
“No individual, regardless of experience or capacity, could provide all the answers to the challenges confronting the state, making broad consultation essential”, he emphasised.
According to him, “Adamawa indigenes serving at the federal level had acquired valuable knowledge and professional experience in various fields and should be given opportunities to contribute to the state’s development”.
Galadima said his decision to engage federal appointees was guided by the belief that the Adamawa Rising Agenda should be a collective project rather than the vision of one individual.
“Government alone cannot build the Adamawa we desire; we need the support, ideas, expertise and goodwill of all our people”, he explained.
While describing the consultation as part of the kind of leadership he intends to provide, the candidate added, “one that listens, consults widely and brings people together around common development goals”.
Galadima expressed appreciation to the federal appointees for their time and contributions, saying their engagement would strengthen the development blueprint, saying “Together, we can make Adamawa rise again”.
