Spanish influencer Pawgli has broken down in tears on social media, expressing deep distress over potentially leaving her established life and career in Madrid to join her partner, new £18m Chelsea signing Pep Chavarría, in London.

Pawgli, via her Instagram handle, noted that moving to London means giving up a major portion of her work, as her brand projects, daily events, and Spanish audience are centered in Madrid.

She stated that she does not want to live off her boyfriend or be financially dependent; she wants to maintain her own income and Spanish-speaking base.

Describing the move as scary, she admitted to panicking over leaving her family, sister, and friends behind, while weighing whether to try a long-distance relationship instead.

“By moving to London, I’m kind of giving up on doing 100 per cent of my job. He has his job, I have mine; he earns his money, I earn mine. Nobody lives off anyone else; I don’t live off my boyfriend.

“Therefore, by not living in Madrid, I’m losing opportunities – opportunities for me to keep growing in this – because absolutely everything is in Madrid. I want to keep holding on to my Spanish audience. I don’t know how to speak English, at least right now, though I know I’ll have to learn.

“I have my life in Madrid; I have my job in Madrid, which luckily is going very, very well.

“I have projects, I have all the brands I work with there, I have daily events, I have my sister, my family, my friends. I have a life where I feel fortunate – it’s a dream life for me and one that cost me a lot to build.

“So, when you start a relationship and your partner gets an opportunity like this, you’re obviously ultra-mega happy for him and super proud of him, but you also have to sit down with yourself and think, “Okay, now what do I do?’”
