Human rights activist and member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (ADC), Aisha Yesufu, has described Nigerian men in politics as “Very cowardly”.
Yesufu’s remark followed Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s declaration of Nyesom Wike as the leader of political actors in the state.
New Telegraph had earlier reported that Fubara told those who had called him their leader during the political crisis to stop, saying they now had a common leader.

Reacting to the comment, Yesufu said, “That is the typical behaviour of Nigerian men in politics. They are quick to grovel, ass-lick and act very cowardly,” Yesufu wrote.
She argued that women in politics were usually bolder and more willing to stand their ground, and urged men to show greater conviction.
“The women are usually bolder and can stand their ground,” she added, challenging men to “own your gender with your full chest.”
