A renowned Christian cleric and prophet, Prophet Solomon Eniola-Oni, has described the re-election of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as the fulfilment of an earlier prophecy, urging the governor to reciprocate the confidence of the electorate through improved governance.

Eniola-Oni, in a statement issued in Osogbo, congratulated Adeleke on his victory in the governorship election held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, saying the outcome had affirmed what he described as the will of the people of the state.

The prophet recalled that he had earlier warned against what he termed external interference in the election and predicted that Adeleke would emerge victorious on the platform of the Accord Party.

According to him, he had also predicted that the Accord Party would secure convincing victories in 18 of the 30 local government areas of the state, adding that the election result had vindicated his earlier declaration.

“The result of the election has affirmed the will of the people of Osun State. What the Lord revealed has come to pass. I congratulate Governor Ademola Adeleke on this decisive victory,” Eniola-Oni said.

Rather than dwelling on the victory, however, the cleric urged Adeleke to regard his re-election as a responsibility and a renewed mandate to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Osun State.

“I urge His Excellency to deepen good governance, prioritise the welfare of workers, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and social justice. The people have given you their mandate again, and they expect results that will touch lives directly,” he said.

Eniola-Oni also recalled another prophecy in which he claimed to have foreseen Adeleke joining the All Progressives Congress after his electoral victory and eventually serving at the presidential level, although he said he did not specify the capacity in which this would happen.

The cleric further reiterated his prediction concerning David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, saying the musician would contest and win election into the House of Representatives to represent the Ede South/Ede North/Ejigbo/Egbedore Federal Constituency.

He prayed for divine wisdom, strength and guidance for Adeleke as he begins his second term, while calling on political leaders and other stakeholders to support the administration in the interest of peace, development and the overall progress of Osun State.
